My grandmother was a church secretary for 40 years. I remember her putting together bulletins for church every Sunday by hand. She would design the front page with a colorful image and a quote from the bible to set the tempo for the service. Then write up the table of contents, the schedule for service that day, a morning prayer, upcoming event schedule, the prayer list, the hymns and left extra pages for notes for people to take. After that she would print out each page, cut and staple all the pages into booklets for every member who came to service that day. I remember what it felt like to leave church but still have a piece of that Sunday with me.
